This first publication for photographer Geoff Whitman takes fans on tour across the United States and to international locations for Pearl Jam's twelfth album, Dark Matter.
Whitman's assignment was a dream come true for any photographer-fan. Over the years he built up relationships and trust within the Ten Club universe, and was eventually invited to officially document the 2024-2025 tour. Whitman kept the fans' perspective front and center as he photographed, creating a visual journey of appreciation and celebration for the band and the enduring music they continue to create.
PEARL JAM (formed 1990; current members include Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder) are Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees and have sold over 85 million albums worldwide. Thirty plus years of live performances, twelve studio albums and hundreds of official live concert bootleg releases later, the band continues to be critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
GEOFF WHITMAN (b. 1971, New York; lives in Napa, California) has been inspired by iconic photographers including Jim Marshall, Robert Frank, and Henry Diltz. A 2013 chance encounter with photographer Danny Clinch backstage at a Pearl Jam concert in Los Angeles solidified his decision to professionally pursue music photography. A solo exhibition drawn from his photographs of the Dark Matter tour opens December 2026 at Leica Gallery Los Angeles.
